Which brand has the worst fanboy zealots?

And, of course, the important question, if an anti-fanboy collides
with a fanboy at the same point in spacetime, will they destroy each
other?
They cancel eachother out.... violently.
Yet remember, one has no meaning without the other. So sad, and yet
somehow so sweet (sigh)

Ah, doomed romance that cannot be...

Even in jest you raise an interesting point: how essential the flamers are to each other. If no one takes the bait, the back-and-forth is impossible. You have to wonder if the various dueling parties recognize how dependent they are on each other.

Along with the love/hate relationship among brand/format flamers, there appears to be a strong element of narcissism. How else to explain the self indulgence of threads blanketed with one-on-one insult volleys? Not unlike couples who get off on making loud, embarrassing scenes in public.

Just briefly visited your blog. Nice stuff. That one prime exercise
is an interesting thing. Will explore your site more as time allows.
Nice play with words.

"Nice stuff" meaning, may be, one day, you will improve. Don't quit your day job, if you have one.

"Will explore your site more as time allows", meaning, what I have seen is enough.
After all we belong to the same film fun club and I cannot be brutal with you.
Very objective!!!

'Good composition is only the strongest way of seeing the subject. It
cannot be taught because, like all creative effort, it is a matter of
personal growth. In common with other artists the photographer wants
his finished print to convey to others his own response to his
subject. In the fulfillment of this aim, his greatest asset is the
directness of the process he employs. But this advantage can only be
retained if he simplifies his equipment and technique to the minimum
necessary, and keeps his approach free from all formula, art-dogma,
rules, and taboos. Only then can he be free to put his photographic
sight to use in discovering and revealing the nature of the world he
lives in.'

Sigh, a loss. No one will know why Joe is to be referred to as
"Sugar". Yes, a progression from The Black Knight. But if you can
read this, Shay son of, then I am not banned and dreams may still be
fulfilled.
A test post this morning to assured me that I still exist. I am
saddened that Joe's critique of my photography is lost forever.

Same here. Apparently all my work isn't even good enough for the
beginner's forum. I'll be fine with my sales without his critiques
;-)

I'll be out with a friend's M8 this weekend to give it a whirl. I
also grabbed a couple of rolls of Delta 3200 for my Voigtlander Bessa
R2a to keep it fed on the streets at night. Between the two, it
should be fun.

By the way, I enjoyed the shots on your blog.....even if it's not up
to Joe's standards. Unfortunately, as none of these critiques post
any of their work, it is hard for the rest of us to learn how it's
really done ;-)
Still waiting for you to prove that I lied. You couldn't find
anything , could you?
1) You said you never accepted a challenge between your DSLR and 4x5. Here is the link where you did:

First lie exposed.

Do I need to look up the next one where you claimed a print was examined by a number of us and we couldn't tell the difference between the digital B&W and film version.....when no such print comparison actually occured? I've actually got better things to do, but I could look it up if you like. I'm just busy at the moment printing a bunch of work for a client and would rather let the printer go and have a coffee than exchange dialog with someone who can't remember if they're telling the truth or lying.
I challenge you to invite forum members to critique your web site
images as well as this work of art
http://members.shaw.ca/cheryl.dewolfe/wedding/
Your silly, yet consistant quoting of disposable camera images is truly funny. A number of us have been exchanging emails as to how pathetic and attempt it is on your part to divert attention away from the issue.

Any one who wants to judge some of my work can visit my web site, or view some of the landscape work below. Feel free to post your Joe. We're all still waiting to see. Just view this post for some of the stuff going up on my new site after I'm done doing weddings this year:

I thought that was Kahn in Wrath of Kahn. LOL

I can read the flamer threads only for so long then I have to just go back to my happy place and take pictures.

He's got shots of everythings....snaps, street, you name it. It's not meant to be a pro blog....just a nice personal one.

It appears only one disagrees.
