SonyMinolta lenses

I have the Minolta 50mm f/1.7, too...

and like it a lot - especially for low-light shooting. However, I bought the A350 body only and picked up the relatively new SAL 18-250 as my "all around" lens. The versatility of this lens and the very respectable IQ is very seductive, so it's on my cam at least 90% of the time.

Re the OP's original question, I know this lens costs more than the budget you had in mind, but it is a lens that can be a one-lens solution for quite some time - especially if you do mostly outdoor good-light shooting like me.
