American Photo Magazins ?

could anyone help a german photographer?

I need to know the names of he most important american magazins for professionals. Internet-Adresses would be even better ;-).

I'm not a pro...but you didn't really indicate what type of photography you are interested in, i.e., sports, portraiture, weddings, photojournalism, scenics, etc.

The one magazine that is targeted at the general studio photographer is called Rangefinder. It is probably free if you are a working US pro. I have no idea what they would do for anyone outside the US.

I'm sure there are a number of publications from some professional organizations, but I would assume that you have to belong to them.

You should be able to google up Rangefinder or find others in the general field of "professional photography magazines" or the like.

Not sure what you are looking for. A magazine for pro photographers or a place to do pro photo work for. But here are some starting points.

I am not looking for magazins to work for. What I mean are magazins which inform about technical news and the photo scene in the US. The should basically be professional orientated - or semi professional.

PDN (Photo District News) is the most 'professional.' It's probably the industry trade standard.

PICTURE is also quite professional, but seems to be oriented more toward the fashion industry.

Digital Photo Pro always has some useful articles on the more technical aspects of shooting digital.

For a more artistic approach to photography, my favorite is the French magazine Photo.

The one that stands out is Photo District News.
