Not confuses the issue, requires a lot of explanation and a lot of faith.

so that instead of a-> b, people get, "given a, and thinking of b:d, and remembering that r-> not(g), we can see that if x^2> -y, then the sqrt(y)-> log(x) and therefore c. Similar assumptions apply with regards to b".

that just doesn't work.

even if you think that it is "simple".

you lost the point entirely.
