How did I do? Any suggestions for a bit more snap? This was shot with the 12-60 on my E-3.

You did very well. I tried the same shot over the weekend and never could get enough brightness.

May I ask what settings you used?

Thank you,

joe.

I shot this in manual, Raw and Jpeg

I ended up doing a little PP to the Jpeg in PSP12. (bummped the contrast up at bit, but left the brightness alone.

The original settings on the E-3 were:

17mm on my 12-60
1/15 @ f8
Image Stabilization IS1
ISO 100
Saturation +1
Contrast -1
Sharpness -1
Graduation Normal
sRGB

I just now processed the RAW in Oly Master and all the levels were "as shot" except I pushed the Contrast to +1 and pretty much got the same result as the PSP12 version of the Jpeg.

I checked my email and did not receive anything.

Gerald,

I don't own Photoshop, but you are really tempting me to take the plunge. I have never worked with layers like that. Can you send me a quick note on how you did it? I have been told you can do the same thing in PSP 12, but don't quite understand the mechanics. Maybe an adult education class at a local college?

For all who may wander into this post...here is Gerald's quick tweak!

Your welcome Joe,

I loaded Gerald's PSD file into Paint Shop Pro 12 and was able to manipulate the file. I will try my hand, starting from scratch, with the original file and post it later.
