Can anyone help?

I recently loaned a D1x kit with a view to buying the same.

Ive tried to produce a cd of images to send to the lab the the majority of images have become distorted.

I shot the images using the Nef files then downloaded to the computer using a card reader.

Using Nikon view5 I then rotated those images that needed rotating and I made a note of the images that I wanted to send to the lab.

I then opened up each image in capture 2 and made any exposure adjustments, sharpening etc that I felt necessary and finally set my resolution and crop size to 9"x 6"

I then saved each image as a Nef file in one folder.

Finally using the batch command in Capure 2 I saved this folder to a seperate folder as Jpeg files.

When i open the images in Nikon view 5 or in photoshop alot of them are distorted.

Any advice please!

Using the crop size is a fixed setting. Maybe horizontal and vertical images you get wrong dimensions in batchmode, distorting horizontal or vertical images. Batch only horizontall, and afterwards vertical images with new settings.

You must have an account on one of those web sites that allow uploading of picture for free or at a fee.

Most here (incl. myself) use http://www.pbase.com , which is a free site (God knows for how long still!!).

So, go to pbase home page and open an account there. It is quite straightforward as it is the creation of galleries and uploading of images.

Once you have uploaded the image(s) you want to show us, copy the link or URL, like the example shown by Ken here above, and paste it into your next post on this thread!
Good Luck ;-))
