105VR or Sigma 150, which would you get?

I owned both...

Both have excellent IQ. The difference to me is the added extras, i.e. the 105 has VR whereas the 150 has a tripod collar. For me I found I wanted to use the lens almost exclusively on a tripod so the Sigma 150 was clearly a better lens for me. If you think you'll be using hand-held the 105 VR has an obvious advantage. For 1:1 macro (e.g. for bugs) I find a tripod is essential, but the 105 VR is quite a bulky lens to mount on a tripod without having a tripod collar. The 150 (to which I have added a focussing rail) is a much more solid piece of kit on a tripod.
