*** CTF Challenge 158 - Winners Thread ***

If you want to take some picys, just upload any thing to the new TBA galleries and then delete it when the challenge starts, unless it fits the new topic of course! We could always use one of Charlie's suggestions as a guide and make this a TBA challenge.! What do you think??? Debi's entry could be titled, "Terribly Bad Announcement" or something. :-D

Well, it sounds as if this will work itself out shortly, one way or the other. Looking forward to the outcome!

We heard from Johannes - Unfortunately he will be unable to host the challenge. CAT - can you step in?

Well it sounds as if this will be resolved shortly, one way or the other. Lesson learned??
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

Personally, yes (tired of NY pics).

It's all about light, my friend.

I vote for you to do this, if it's not too much trouble!

And, as you've already been told, the challenge is pretty much ready to go - just need a topic!

He sighted scheduling not being kind to him as the culrprit and has apologized several times in his reply.

Cat, if you'd like to pick a topic. We'll all help host. I'll do my part in checking file sizes, setting up the voting and results threads if needed.

Now if you can't host, perhaps someone would like to volunteer? RK(exhibition 1st place), kyagudin(eligible 3rd place) or Rod(just because he probably likes to host minus the gallery setup) are you for this mate?

New York is really a fun place. And, obviously, I enjoy the photo opportunities there. Who knows - maybe the next challenge will be something less obvious.

Sorry to say, dear Penny, but if you eat your favorite meal day in & day out you will get sick. No?

The new topic is "CREATIVE USE OF FLASH"

Thanks to Lydia for helping me come up with the topic!

Your photo for this challenge needs to show "FLASH USED = Yes" in the exif!
Thats the only requirement...

Now go shoot! Thanks for your patience

does 'not' show flash used in EXIF - it has been an on going clitch in their uploading. So now what?

(could copy and paste your EXIF from your picture in the caption?)

On my camera (20D), if I use an external flash, the EXIF shows "FLASH USED = No." I don't think mine is the only model that has that problem. You are going to have to take my word that I used a flash unit.

One does not achieve success by being at the right place at the right time, but rather by being ready when the right place and time present themselves for your inspection.

Not sick - tired of it, maybe.
But I don't put that in the same category. NY is never the same meal twice.

When I look at the EXIF in PSE2, it always says: Flash - undetermined value. It makes no difference whether I use the flash or not. But then I'm not even sure I'm looking in the right place.

(And here I was, hoping for a New York kind of challenge, as I'm going there on Saturday!)
