The lighthouse and the last boat...

Hi Dirk,

Wonderful light and a senusal curve in the water. What more could
anyone ask for? These two are very impressive images that get my
attention as much as your creatively staged photos. Both nicely
seen and captured.

Stan
Hi Stan,

I'm always searching for interesting light and that day I could find some, I will go back one day when I think that the light could be greater and then I will eat a lobster in the house shown on the first picture as it is a fishrestaurant.

With very kind regards,
Dirk Vermeirre

Hi Dirk,

I'm sorry .... it must have been my office monitor ... just looked again (at home) and the pics are great!

the first one is Outstanding what a perfect view and what a gorgeous lightning on the house
that second is very moody like it a lot
thanks John
Who likes the light in this picture ? It was caused by light
falling from the backside between the two white houses that were
build very close together and the light bounces and receive the
reflection from the opposite wall so that it even brightens more. I
didn't process this image apart from darkening the sky a bit.

In the second image you can see what is behind these houses (I made
a lot more of St.-Amands aan de Schelde(Belgium) yesterday). Hope
you enjoy them.

Hallo Dirk

Great way to capture a late-light-reflection, besides that great
colour and the composition. The second has got a great late light
mood with the boat making the right curve in the right place.

I can,t wait to see your upcoming after-midnght pics :)

Groeten, Ruud
Hi Ruud,

I was hoping on findin great light but these were the only to places where I could find some. And I was lucky when that boat cames, I was waiting for the sunset that turned out uninteresting but it gives me the occasion to take this picture.
An after midnight picture will follow soon Ruud.

With very kind regards,

Dirk Vermeirre

I like them both Dirk, the soft light and detail and view in the
first, and the lovely lowlight scene in the 2nd, excellent. DL

Hi Dogleader,

Thanks very much Dogleader, next time that I go there I will eat a lobster in the first one and while eating I could see the second one (probably not with a boat or quite certainly not with this boat or I must be extremely lucky).

With very kind regards,

Dirk Vermeirre

Hi Dirk,

I spent a lot of time along the Schelde but not out in the country.
Beautiful sunset and boat. The light on the house is great very
nice colors.

best wishes
John
Dag John,

Haha, time to walk arm in arm with girls (that's what I see the most at the board of De Schelde). Thanks for your kind words. Next time I will eat a lobster in that house (it's a restaurant).

With very kind regards,

both images masterfully crafted with perfect dyamics lines vs.
static lines and incredible use of light

Thanks

Ruvy
Hi Ruvy,

Thanks for your very kind words, I was looking for interesting light and on both places I could find some, so I was happy.

Hi Joh,

Thanks a lot, always a pleasure to hear you. Next time I will eat a lobster in that first picture (it's a restaurant) and while eating look at the scene of the second picture (hopely with a boat).

I actually like the second one better, but since your question was about the first one, I'll comment there.

I think it's an interesting picture, and definintely took a good eye to see. Most people wouldn't notice an effect like that as something that could make a good photograph. Nice work.

Hi Chris,

Thanks very much for your fine comment, I really appreciat that. I also prefer the second image and made some other interesting ones from the landscape in that area.

I do, Dirk. Most especially, though, I like the second......seeing
the wake the boat, the subtle color and peaceful
foreground.......WOW! (again)

Marilu
Hi Marilu,

Thanks for your kind comment, I will go back there one of these weeks and eat a lobster in the white house (a restaurant) from the first picture and then I can see the scene that you have seen in the second picture (probably without a boat).

With very kind regards,
Dirk Vermeirre
