DR is fixed....

Lifting shadows helps the overall effect, but the sensor (or film) can only capture so much in the ist place.

Black is black, and white is white. It looks pretty good..being fair, but the bane of digital, whilst eased here, is the linear response..unlike good old negative film..which is still highlight champ by miles.

I had to lift over 2 stops of shadow on my APS SLR, just to match the untouched ISO 200 cheapo negative film scan I did, I could have got more out of it if needed.
