12-60 "Lens axis offset angle" - in practice

Andy mentioned in his review that the 12-60 had a "lens axis offset angle" - namely that the image in the viewfinder was slightly shifted compared to the image projected on the sensor.

The practical impact can be seen below (subject thanks to my disorganized roomate!). What was the center of the image in the viewfinder is actually offset from the center of the image captured by about 20 pixels vertically and 30 pixels horizontally (on a 10MP image):

Not exactly serious stuff, IMO. It does however help explain why in my earlier tripod-shot comparisons, I had to shift one camera slightly in comparison to the other to maintain the same centering. Cheers,
