My first Panoramic attempt, as well as night time (D40)

Nice first attempt!

Nice first attempt... a few things.

Make sure your horizon is straight and that you tripod is completely level. This shot is leaning slightly left.

There is no need to use iso400 or f/22. The 18-200vr is at it's peak sharpness at f/11 and you should have been able to get this shot at iso200 instead. Using iso400 will produce more noise that you want.

Please also watch out for your WB. The WB is off here and it should have been on tungsten. I hope you don't mind, but the shot should have looked more like this (below)... this color is still off, but closer to what you saw.

I made some level adjustments on the individual channels to bring this back to the "right" colors. But you will notice the noise that it brings out because of the higher iso and slightly underexposed shot.

Doing well for a first... keep it up!
