I am a mostly a Canon 5D user, although I am sorely tempted to buy a Nikon D300 after reading some reviews and yesterday having a chance to use one belonging to a friend.
My query is this - the menu system seemed quite complex, in the sense that there seemed to be an awful lot of options. Is the D300 quite a complex camera to operate?
A friend took my canon 5D on a trip to Cuba, and left me with his Canon 1DS II and I also found it a very 'complex' camera with loads of menus and options, whereas in comparison the 5D is very uncomplicated.
Any assistance appreciated. I dont need to know how good the D300 is, I have already figured that. I just would like to know users opinions about all the menus and options, and how easily one can get accustomed to them. Any people who used Canon 5D before and now switched to D300 care to comment?
