Will Canon move to In-Body Stabilization?

With all the new bodies coming out with in-body stabilization, will canon be forced to do the same?

Both Canon and Nikon are walking a fine line ATM. At what point does the loss of sale from Bodies, make up for the loss they will take on their IS lenses?

I can't justify paying that much for an IS lens knowing that Canon might offer an IS body thus slashing resale prices of IS lens.
