Louis I can share what has worked for me over many years of ridding.

Infact I started riding in 1960 in America and Canada.
In the last 38 years I have ridden all over the world ,mostly in Asia.
Started carrying a camera on my Harleys in the 70's which was film bodys.
1998 put a sony digital Mavica in my saddle bags with out any problems.

Two years ago I bought a D50 and have drug it all over Thailand on a Honda
using a cloth bag worn across my chest with home made padding inside.

Soon the bag will allso carry a D1X and 70-300 17-55 lens with out any problems.

My point is try making a bag that will fit your needs . Good luck...
