About that TIFF file

I've been using Nikon Capture since before the NX version and found it easier and better than ACR. There is one NX "feature" I do not like, however. Using Capture NX's "Open With" command to move a converted file to Photoshop CS3 creates a TIFF file on the Hard Drive. As I save my NX edits in the NEF and Photoshop files are saved in PSD format, my workflow leaves me with a large and useless TIFF file which I have to delete to conserve disk space. This adds to the workflow. Is there anyway to not create this TIFF file on the HD when moving a picture to Photoshop? The old Capture did not do this.
