Re: additional 3 frame sequence [3 imgs]

aaah well the easiest way to control DOF is aperture.

I only need the shutter speed to be say 1/250th to be fast enough, i often find that if i set Tv mode to a certain speed the DOF changes to something i don't like.

This way i set it to f4-f5.6 and the shutter speeds ten to be well above 1/500th in broad daylight at iso100. so i don't care if its 1/1000th or 1/1250th etc because its plenty fast enough. I do care when it gets to 1/4000th and blinking because i'll over expose. In daylight it does happen.

Also if i set it to shutter priority my DOF changes enough to make the background crisp and clear in some shots to blurred in others. I tend to want it blurred in all shots.

Hope that explains why i use Av. It isn't the most obvious thing to do with fast action

Oh geographically I live in Canberra Australia.

American football is truly cemented as the fifth football code in this country after Aussie rules, rugby League, rugby Union and soccer. I believe country wide there are 70+ clubs.

Excellent shots!

Qs:

Why Av instead of Tv?

Where are you located geographically?
