Yes, you do it different. I understand why you do. I hope you now understand why I don't want compressed. You asked, I told, all I care is if you know my reason, not if you agree.

i do not have not and will delete any image files that i deem good to
keep in the first place. this why when i take my digital shots and
get back to the pc i do a sort and delete any that i do not want. i
have 100gb of image files in the primary pic drv and 2 uncompressed 1
for 1 copies on 2 other ext hdr drvs. these are all my digital shots
that i kept plus any scanned in slides that i scanned in using my
nikon coolscan v scanner. all are accessable and usable by any
program that i wish to use any time. though i work off the primary
pic drv and the working pic folder in the c drv.
