Prinz Galaxy 400 F/6.3 Test.
Finally had chance to try my £5 auction site Prinz Galaxy 400mm F/6.3 lens out at a local nature reserve which has screen off bird feeders.
Only 2 reasonable shots out quite a few taken.
My thoughts on the lens, very dark so difficult to focus. Needs lots of good light hence me having to use quite high ISO on my K100D. Although it's 400mm, it has quite a long minimum focus which meant I had to step back quite a bit before I could get the lens to focus on the feeder.
As a comparison, here is a shot taken the same day with my trusty Tamron 70-30:
So my quest for more pixels per bird continues. Having only 6MP on my K100D means I'm limited to how much I can crop.
At least I only spent £5 on the Prinz Galaxy lens!
