The only really good thing I can say is a bad camera is better than no camera.

Absolutely corrrect. I love my little P&S cameras but regard them as "expendable." So when one breaks I buy another. It's becoming more and more difficult to find a low MP camera.

With this size sensor, 5MP is the MOST I want to use. Past that, things start to degrade.
