Love the K20D but how about a compact

My first Pentax was an MX, and I still have it.

Every now and then I go back and pick it up with a dreamy sigh.

Would you buy a tiny Pentax digital K mount SLR?

what would be the minimum requirement? Things would have to go to get that small.

I'd take this:

  • Great pentaprism viewfinder but a 2" or even smaller LCD, just enough to see the histogram.

  • Flash Shoe, but no built-in flash.

  • Smaller battery, even if it meant only about 200-300 shots per flash.

  • No built in print functions at all.

  • Smaller buffer, say 8-10 DNG

  • No USB port or video out - just pull the card out to read the files

  • If it was required for size, maybe AF only with DA lenses with built in motors, but I'd hate to lose AF with the FA limiteds.

  • 10 megapixels would be enough, but I'd rather have 14

Who knows what else would have to go, but I'd buy one right away as long as it was fully capable in terms of photo making.

How about you?
