Cactus triggers to fire camera
Just got a set of Cactus wireless flash triggers in off of EBAY. I am trying to figure out if I can use them in reverse to make it a remote control for my Canon 10D. To explain what I had in mind: If I hold the transmitter in my hand and press the test button, it would of course send some type of signal to the receiver. Now on the receiver is a pc cord output. The Cactus kit came with a pc to minijack plug. So, I have a modified wired remote for my 10D where I soldered male/female minijack plugs in-line, this way I can add a simple stereo minijack extension cord and have a very long wired remote when needed. If I were to put a female minijack plug on the N3 line going into the 10D, would the Cactus receiver send a proper signal to trip the shutter? Or is it a totally different signal strength for the flash versus the shutter?
