my improvised version

thank you very much Adrian for your detailed help!

so I made my first quite improvised version using some material I found around the house and a Cokin filter piece to stick the slides and negatives on.

and since it is late evening I also found a light source which could be a valid alternative?
check it out:

so where is my light source? Right there, it's the monitor. I took a foto of a white piece of paper and chose it to be the background of my notebook, it seems to work quite well.

Overall quality is not too good yet, but I don't know why, if it's my bad copying or if it's the originals that are not better.

This is from a slide showing a local beauty a me during my first trip to Asia near a small Village north of Bangkok in 1980

and this from a B&W negative showing my parents, my father already sick a few weeks before his death in 1986 ( sorry for this 'theme' - no worries ) I had developped the film myself, it is very dirty and I have not corrected that. Also contrast was very low and had to be upped quite a lot.

so Gideon, doing negatives, at least B&W should not be difficult, just had to 'invert' the image in PS.

thank you again Adrian,

best regards,
Andreas
