Sorry if this is a bit OT but I'm interested in hearing about your
experiences with keyboards.

I use one for hours and hours everyday. I have, in fact, managed to
erode the plastic around some of the keys on my trusty old KeyTronic.

I like the feel of the Keytronic but wonder if there are better
choices out there.

Hmm, I was the Mechanical Engineering manager at Key in the late 80's. The VP of Engineering used our new designs in his office for a month or so and would not let us release anything he did not like. He left a dozen years ago, as did I, hope his legacy remains. We also had to pass 100,000,000 operations. I designed a tester that pounded a million keystrokes per day on the querty section. I know that they are still using it, but I heard the acceptable life has been reduced.

Of course, I realise this is highly subjective and

I need to try some myself.

So, if you type a lot, what's your choice?

Logitech? Microsoft? Labtec? Keytronic? Which model and why?

I have a Logitech now, it is not bad. A bit noiser than I like, but no sticky keys.
