Canon's bold move, (My expectation)
I don't wish for you to give us Digic III, live view, 100% view
finder, full frame sensor, weather and dust sealed, magnesium alloy
frame, 3.5 " lcd, and a shoulder-strap that stays put on your
shoulder, I seriously expect this for the next Rebel, for less than
$1,000.00 dollars,... dream on?,... how about if you wake up!
FF-sensor on a Rebel? For under $1,000? That's not feasible.. and it would pretty much kill 1.6x'ers too.. which is NOT what many of us want.
3.5" LCD is a tad too big. I prefer an increase in resolution rather than just absurdly incrementing the screen size.
Here's what I'd like on the next Rebel (in addition to what's expected):
NOT an increase in MP.. I want better high-ISO noise performance, not more pixels crammed into the same sized sensor.
A slightly improved grip. When I say 'slight', I don't reasonably expect Canon to just move the body design to that of the xxDs. But just a little bit of an improvement would be nice.
40D's AF (cross-type for all AF points)
Bigger, brighter viewfinder.
