(D300) Review of the Phottix N1 remote contol

Hi all.

Due to Timkat's request for a long bulb exposure at low ISO with the D300 ( http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1039&message=25868657 ), I had no choice but to look for a remote control for the D300.

After some searching through the forum, the Phottix N1 seemed to receive good reviews from satisfied owners ... all this for the princely sum of US$14.50.

The full review (plus more pics and a video) can be found at http://www.dpnotes.com/phottix-n1-wireless-remote-control-set-nikon-d300-review/ but to summarize, the quality and functionality exceeds my expectations.

I only wish it was as tiny as the Nikon ML-L3 remote that I have for my D70, but one can always hope for more compact devices in the future.

Hope this helps. The review is still in progress so if you could suggest improvements to the content, please do so.

Now I just need to wait for a clear night sky and do that 30-minute, ISO 200 exposure ...
