Capture NX on Quad Core

I find the speed of Capture NX 1.3 is much better now I have a quad core processor Q6600 with 3gb - it came in a Gateway GT5628 computer which was under $1000. On the whole I have been v pleased with it.

On this system NCNX is almost acceptable. It loads file quickly, and the place where I find problems is in the Curves function. It is very hard to make smooth adjustments of the curves - there is a delay after I move my pen or mouse, and then it suddenly moves too much. It still takes a second or so to update a screen, and sharpening can take several seconds to show up on the image with no preview. The interface is still horrible compared w ACR, but I do notice that NX corrects blue fringing often, wen ACR does not.

I wonder if this is something to do with .net?

The browser is a bt clumsy - ideally I woiuld like to use Bridge to browse, and then open the files into NX, and then transfer some of them to PS.

However, inthe latest version of Bridge, 2.1.1.9, they have taken away that ability. I have mentioned it on the Adobe forum, but got no reply. I do not know if this is an oversight or some competitive game playing.
