Problem is perfectly reproducible here

With 51 field dynamic focus and 3D tracking of, the metering bias is under the selected AF point

With 51 field dynamic focus and 3D tracking on, the metering bias is under the center AF point, not under the selected AF point.

Please try the difference yourself: do exactely the same thing with and without 3D tracking on.

first

1) focus mode selector: AF-C
2) AF area mode selector: Dynamic Area AF
3) CF-A3 51 points with 3D tracking modus on
4) Metering selector: Matrix metering
5) CF-C1: shutter realese AEL OFF

then

1) focus mode selector: AF-C
2) AF area mode selector: Dynamic Area AF
3) CF-A3 51 points (no 3D tracking)
4) Metering selector: Matrix metering
5) CF-C1: shutter realese AEL OFF

In first case, metering bias is on selected AF point
in second case metering bias is on center of frame

checked and double checked: it is perfectly reproducible every time
Try it with high contrasts in your scene (lamp versus dark wall for example)

Make sure you do not change framing of the scene, only shift AF point from dark to bright areas (do not forget to release the shutter when moving af point when in 3D tracking mode)

Now I am really curious if this is just my camere that does this. Hard to beleive
Please let me know your results.

Thanks everyone particpating
