Why no image-stabilized macro lens?

I was thinking how few holes there are in Canon's lens lineup. And then I thought if Nikon could update their 105 macro to include image stabilization and their ring usm (Micro-Nikkor AF-S 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED VR), why not Canon? Or Sigma for that matter? I don't always have the luxury of flash or tripod out in the field. Anyone else feel that we need an image-stabilized macro?
