However, when picking up signals out of dirt (which would be the case of a "star field" so to speak, at night), which requires pushing the cams to their barebone-limits, I suspect the black-clippings (depending on its magnitude/reach on the bottom-end of the tonal scale) should invariably show when trying to recover very faint signals, though.
