Printing trading cards
In general, what type of printer would do a good job printing sports trading cards? I'm assuming these would generally be printed with several cards per sheet, then cut afterwards?
Some trading cards are advertised as having a laminate over them. Is this done after printing, or is the laminate somehow already on the paper prior to printing? (I seem to recall reading that dye sub printers use paper that is laminated already)
If laminating is typically a separate process, then I guess I'm also interested in knowing what type of laminating machine would compliment the printer.
Thanks for the help. My searching has produced some information, but nothing terribly specific to my needs.
