DxO 5 image comparison vs. 3 competitors

I am very unhappy with the quality of the DxO 5 application, but wanted to test the image quality as well.

It was tested against Adobe Camera Raw 4.3, BreezeBrowser Pro 1.7.2 and Canon DPP 3.2.

All forms of sharpening and noise reductions were turned OFF during raw conversion. A sligt and equal sharpening was applied after the conversion in CS3.

I was focused on raw conversion errors and resolution, and not noise, colours etc.

The images are shot with a Canon 5D, 16-35mm II and ISO 400 in tricky lighting.

My subjective opinion based on my probably flawed execution, shows me that the fewest conversion errors (best) were produced by DxO 5 followed closely followed by ACR 4.3. Canon DPP 3.2 produced more errors and BreezeBrowser Pro blurred everything.

Despite the totally buggy DxO 5 is a nuissance, it produced the best results.

What can I do other than wait for them to fix the bugs?
