I love my E-1, but side by side with the E-3......

Re: Huge learning curve...

One of the examples I saw was that of a fireplace with ashes in it. The E-1 rendered the ashes black/gray/white, whereas the E-3 image had some warmth with a shade of yellow to it.

Without knowing what the light was actually like, it is impossible to tell which camera rendered the color correctly, and while most people will look at the ashes and say "Hey, the version with the white ashes looks more natural than the yellow one", I have a difficult time believing that too many people use daylight balanced lights in their livingrooms. More likely, there was incandescent lighting, and the E-3 image would have been closer to reality.
