I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but tell me if this example is
relevant. I took a 200x200 pixel crop from the upper left corner of

On the left, you can see the crop after RAW processing in C1. In the
middle, you can see what default auto profile NR using Noise Ninja
did, without any sharpening. On the right is the Noise Ninja result
with even less than default levels of sharpening applied by Noise
Ninja. Seems to me that fairly distinct single bright pixels in the
black areas escape NR all the time.

That's not RAW data.
