A700 sleep mode
1

As some of you may recall I had a thread last year about the faulty sleep mode in the A100. In short, the A100 with eyestart disabled will never go to sleep if you carry the camera around your neck or over your shoulder. The reason is because as you walk the eye sensor will continuously detect that the camera is close to something and momentarily not detect that it is close to something and turn on the LCD display and so on. This will cause the camera to think it is being used so it will never go into sleep mode. If you put the camera on a table it will go into sleep mode.

Has the A700 fixed this bug? Presumably, the A700 with grip sensor will not turn on the rear display if the camera is hanging from your neck or over your shoulder so the camera will be allowed to go into sleep mode. Can someone check this?
