Hi All I have just purchased an Epson R290 Photo Printer, this unit uses the T82 series Claria inks. I have printed some prints for comparison with my HP 3310 printer, I was vey suprised to note the difference in print performance.
The HP has less sharpness but a better color set. The sky is possibly a little over saturated (too Blue). other than that very pleasing.
The Epson R290 is producing a Crisper more detailed image on Ultra Glossy A4 photo paper, the main fault is the sky has an unnatural purple hue to the sky as if there is a little too much red coming through in the image.
Is there a way to alter the printer settings to print a more natural sky. I would like a permanent adjustment, not a pic by pic alteration.
How do others over come this problem with out spending a bundle on calibration tools?
Thanks in advance
