Four 70-300mm Sample Pictures

I just got the 70-300mm lens today...and tested it with the E-510. Of course, I did everything wrong at first...I had all the wrong settings...one time I didn't even turn on the camera. I wasn't excited at all, right? Actually, I was too excited to say it mildly, even though I was trying to slow down.

Here's the closest I've ever taken a picture of this white bird at our local wetlands. I cropped it two times to get even closer. The eyes are so tiny.

Olympus E-510: 300mm, ISO200, 1/2000, F5.6, AWB, resized and light sharpening only

Olympus E-510: 70mm, ISO200, 1/3200, F4.5, AWB

I had to brighten this up some. I didn't have much time at all to take this one...just pointed and snapped this one quick. It still may be a tad too bright...a little overdone in post processing...but it gives you all an idea.
