D300 remote same as D200 remote

The Nikon IR remote shutter release for the D70/D50/D80/D40 series will NOT work for the D200/D300/D2/D3 camera bodies. There are 3rd party remotes for the Nikon D200/D2/D300/D3 bodies, both corded and wireless. RF wireless remotes are available on eBay for as little as US$27 (incl shipping), search for "phottix n1".

The following Nikon bodies all share the same remote shutter release port interface: D2xs, D3, D200, D300, D2Hs (and others). A remote shutter release that works for one of these bodies will work for all of these bodies.
