Re: A simpler digital camera

I'm sittin' here contemplatin' two P-3n's and a P-5 body and wishin' they had "digital backs". They did everything I wanted 'em to do and never failed me.

Say what ya will, the P3/P30/P5 bodies were just a bit larger, 20-percent lighter and (IMO) felt better than the K1000 and many M-series in the hands.

If they just used an SD-card I could happily live the rest of my life with any one of these. Might have to sqush-out the grip a bit for useful battery life but I'd be willin' to swap out, say, rechargeable AAA's every coupl'a hundred shots for the simplicity of old lenses and old techniques. Cheap, too.

I keep stumbling on older lots of film that, with processing to CD-only and a little post-processing in PSP, etc., meets my needs and lets me play with films I couldn't afford "back then".

There's all sorts of reasons this won't happen in today's market, but...
