be nice to support things like off-camera flash extension cords.

What is an "off-camera flash extension cord"? Some cameras have a PC
Sync flash terminal for off camera flashes.

I'm talking more about basically a hot-shoe extension cord like this:

Which is for cameras w/o a conventional PC Sync connector, which I specified for the EVIL Camera.

Also, having a more traditional hot-shoe means you could then use
other devices like this GPS recorder that pop up from time to time
triggered by the flash signal:

The GPS is handled via the Bluetooth link...w/o wires.

Though perhaps that need would be better met by having some simple
Bluetooth signal sent out from your camera when image capture was
initiated, with a hotshoe receiver/adaptor...

I rather think that the Bluetooth can be built-in.

What do you do when you need to stack that ext flash cord adapter on top of the Bluetooth adapter and then mount a flash? That is NOT a nice image!
