I see your point. I thought Eric's simple camera idea was for inexperienced users.

I also used my well-loved K1000 shooting good 'ole Kodacolor 400 for many years before I went digital. I still miss it.

I'm like you and I use my K100 exclusively in Av or M mode and mostly ignore all the twiddly stuff related to JPEG output because I shoot mostly RAW anyway.

I totally agree that a no nonsense, high quality, well-built DSLR with a good APS-C sensor with just the basic controls like the K1000 would be a sweet little number, indeed. Kind of like the Leica M8 approach, but much more reaonsably priced.

I would so get one if the sensor represented a step up in capability over the one in my K100.
