I ran with a dual monitor setup 2490 and 2690 for several days. The
sRGB material in color managed apps matchs the sRGB content on the
2490.

When you say "sRGB mode is not very good", do you mean not very good for photo accuracy, or not very good for anything? Like, will it still be about the same as your average non-calibrated LCD and thus fine for all non-photo related tasks, or is it worse than a standard display?
