Sorry I've gone a bit off topic, everyone, as these are not really abstracts. But Rodrigo was asking if I got some nice pictures of the Maroon Bells/Maroon Lake.

It's kind of hard to miss at this place :-)





Well, this one is almost an abstract.

Yes, you're correct. It's the reflection of the Maroon Bells. I just
want it to be different.

That was taken in NYC at Rockerfeller Center. We were on our way to the top to get night scene pics of the skyline and there was this crystal chandelier. I just stood below it and clicked away - then I blew it up a little with iPhoto.

WOW! Its really really nice. How many photographers do have that day. I came around 5:30AM and I can't find a nice spot already. There's a lot of professional/amature photographers waiting for the first light. And about 7:00AM we have a least 150 photographers around the lake.

Three more abstracts, all done very different ways:

Ferry gate through rain-streaked car window: Bowen Island, Vancouver, B.C. As shot.



Boats: Mayne Island, Vancouver, B.C. This one is a slam zoom, done by quick zooming 75-300MM Canon lens as I took the shot.



Stream, heavily Photoshopped. Applied a variety of PS filters.
