Re: The Canon D60, underwater. :)

Hi guys -

One thing about the housings -- if the D30/60's flash cannot pop up, it will be very hard to get TTL working through the hotshoe because no one (that I know of) is even trying to figure it out for third party underwater strobes. The Ike case is high enough for the flash to pop up. The UK Germany one is JUST too low.

Otherwise, I'd have part of the front replaced with a clear window, or I would run fiber out of the strobe cable port to talk to a slave sensor. so... TTL will be interesting to get working with the UK Germany housing.

So, you are using the strobes in manual mode. Do you feel that the
DS 125 strobe adjustments are enough with Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8
powers?

I have been thinking of Sea&Sea YS-DX90 strobes to be used with
D60. Do you have any experience of these with D30/D60?

By the way Hugyfot ( http://www.hugyfot.de ) will introduce a housing
for D30 (D60?) in May. It will be machined aluminium and the price
should be around EUR 1800.
