Ken, I agree - my 5D is great, but the A700, matches the IQ of the 5D and just has more resolution available.

I love my 5D but the A700 is beating it.

The A700 being twice the MP is give you a much larger enlargement
which if you don't get that 100% 12 MP is going to look softer than
100% 6 mp because details that had to fit in 1-2 pixels, now are
being spread over maybe 3-4 pixels and that will of couse mean in
something like a line instead of it having to choose the best color
for the detail in 1-2 pixels... it can now spread over 3-4 pixles so
that the edge may be a transition color that is more detail blown up
on a monitor to look softer.
