Is the 7-14mm really worth it?

It is worth it. It has given me many opportunities to take pix I would never have taken before buying it, and probably would not have thought of taking. After a couple of weeks doing landscapes, I have moved indoors. Great fun to be had with this lens. In my opinion, you will only regret buying it should you drop it on your toe. It is quite heavy.

Indoors, and just for fun. Quick snapshots, and I was surprised by how well they came out.

Also, just for fun, showing it to folks who have experience with SLR cameras will make their eyes bug out. Quite an impressive piece of glass, in more ways than one. Buy one right now! Rich.

Well, Bibble works well on the E-1 RAW files.

I have 4.9.5. Had tested it...I think I upgrade to 4.9.8.

I have done some test shots with both cameras today wit the 7-14mm. From my experience it seems to be that the E-1 works better with it because the E-510 often blows out the highlights - the E-1 not. Have tested on both similar metering modes.

Well, I have shot RAW with the E-1 and SHQ with the E-510, with sharpness, contras both set to -2 and NR off.

Also the 7-14mm is better to handle on the big E-1. While the small E-510 feels very handy with the 14-42mm.
