New lenses and round aperture
First of all, all lenses I know of have a circular aperture when they are wide open. It's only when stopping down that number of blades/circular-aperture starts to matter.
Second, good bokeh is much more a quality of the optics than of the shape of the aperture. A lens with perfectly circular aperture (like when wide open) can still have crummy bokeh.
