For a fellow nordic I would suggest to try out Gimp and its ufraw plugin - both of which are free. Then you can do raw editing from your A100 from the raw's.

If you are willing to pay a bit I suggest you take a look at Lightroom, Bibble and LightZone. They all do undestructive treatment of raw-files.

My personal favorite is Lightroom, but region/zonemapping looks really nice in LightZone.
