Rome, Italy (P5000)

Here are some shots with P5000 from a half day in Rome.
St Peters Basilica:

Fontana di Trevi (built 1762). Here did Anita Ekberg take a bath in Fellinis movie La Dolce Vita.

The figure in the middle is Okeanos, symbolizing the power of the seas. The two horses represents duality, one wild and untamed, one calm.

Throw in a coin if you want to see Rome again. Throw in two coins if you want to get married. Throw in three coins if you want to be divorced...

A detail:

A house facade.

It was a very hot day. The boat-shaped fountain La Fontana della Barcaccia (built 1629) at the base of the Spanish Steps.

Panteon, built as a roman temple for all gods, converted to a church around 609. The open hole in the cupole causes a spotlight effect. The bronze doors are original, more than 2000 years old.

The spotlight moves with the direction of the sunlight.

Thanks for looking.
