I have an older single processor G5 with an Apple display connected to the ADC port and a VGA monitor connected to the DVI port (using a VGA to DVI adapter). No problem.

I want to take the Apple display away and in its place put another VGA monitor.

1. Can I run two VGA monitors from the G5?
2. If so, how do I connect one to the ADC port?

I don't see any direct connection type adapter out there to connect a VGA monitor to a ADC port.

Thanks.

You want to run 2 VGA (analog) monitors ?

Your goal should be to run 2 DVI (digital) monitors !

BTW...are the VGA monitors in your scheme CRTs ?

That's a separate rant...

I did some extensive research and didn't realize that Apple discontinued the ADC type connector. My 20" cinema display can't be used with a Macbook Pro for instance without needing a $100. adapter. I might as well just keep it with the G5.

To clarify, I presently have a 20" Apple cinema (apparently older style) connected to the ADC port, and a 17" CRT connected to the DVI port (using an DVI to VGA adapter).

Thanks for all the replies.
